OUGD502// Print Based Packaging

http://lovelypackage.com

Lovely package is a brilliant resource, not only does it examine the relationship between image and type, it also allows the viewer to go direct to the agency that has developed and produced this design.

It's always beneficial to investigate designs of a specific field before pursuing your own arrangements. I wanted to explore the creative possibilities of packaging. Although I might not be able to apply some of the techniques/ printing processes, it will give me a good insight for future reference.

Inspired by Cafépod’s desire to democratise a premium product, we set about expressing the social aspect of the coffee moment with a pair of clinking cups. The aesthetic combines gourmet cues, vibrant taste and contemporary character, all carefully balanced to capture our everyday luxury brief.

We encounter dirt every day, as well as run-of-the-mill designs for cleaning products. Cleaning liquids off the shelves come in packaging that are either too gaudy or boring. Until now. There is a sizeable number of consumers who appreciate products that have differentiation and are aesthetically pleasing to the eye. After all, what we buy reflects, in many ways, who we are.
We face different cleaning challenges every day. These situations are reflected in the packaging designs where you see the toughest of stains. But what makes it easy on the eye is an aesthetically-pleasing refill Kinetic specially designed, manufactured and packaged to allow discerning consumers to fill with a detergent of their choice.

Amazing website! Proposal for web design?...

Quality. Craftsmanship. Integrity. The Waterloo Brewing Co. offers authentic craft beers from one of Canada’s first authentic craft breweries. Brewed using only the finest quality ingredients, Waterloo Brewing Co.’s new line of traditionally made ales, ambers and darks offers real craft beer character. The new design reflects the hardworking character of the brewery and the industrious nature of the Waterloo region.

I fell in love with the idea of repackaging honey because of the timelessness of honey production. The process employed by honey bees hasn’t changed. To reference this highly industrial procedure, I chose a typographic direction that felt sterile. To counterbalance the type, I designed a few complicated and emergent patterns that hide behind the color of the honey when the bottle is full. As you use the product, the elegant patterns are revealed in a second layer as a homage to the beauty and timelessness of such a refined and perfected practice such as honey production.
