COP Publication - Points of investigation

Following on from my essay which explores and understands how Psychoanalysis is used within Contemporary advertising. I decided to explore how advertisers have played the major part in shaping societies values, habits and direction in contemporary times. Causing viewers to applaud the aesthetic and standards of many of the ads.

Emotional Marketing.

Shadows/ Perception - Revealing the true nature/ manipulation... This sort of technique could be applied to the emotional messages tied to Products.





Displaying how Chihuahua's have become iconic for being feminine, glamourised and actually viewed as a product rather than an animal.




Advertisers have took advantage of the emotional factors of drinking and the psychology underlying peoples motivations and employed these reasons within their advertising, causing people to associate certain alcohols with certain moods, e.g. Corona is often associated with relaxing and chilling with your friends.
