Love/Hate, Seminar task 1

Graphic Design has a number of artistic and professional disciplines that focus on visual communication and presentation. Therefore it should deliver a message of clear communication...

Love
I love the effectiveness of these designs, all the layouts are very precise and perfected with a hint of minimilism.........

Smooth aesthetics, the yellow part of the design raises questions with the audience, what is it's purpose? what makes it more appealing is that it's been achieved through the use of simplicity.

Astonishing image below, creating various interpretations, yet still linked to the communication of the message. Superhero. Is it two Batman's facing off? or Wolverine? or both?

The following designs appeal more to my style of practice, I enjoy urban, over emphasised, but clean design...the vibrant and comical imagery always puts a smile on my face.

Artist (Hidden Moves)... a collection of crisp, collage images, creating interesting and luring designs...'whats that bit?' 'how did they merge them'... It gives the audience something to look at.

Hate
I dislike pieces of work that haven't been resolved fully, whether that's because of their inappropriate use of colour schemes, text combination or over-use of Helvetica (Just because it's popular people don't seek alternatives.).....

The text isn't right for the image or mood of the poster.

The following image is quite chaotic, an over use of text and crowded layout, makes the message of communication drown out....

The packaging is dull and boring, it could be further resolved into a more dynamic and efficient package.

Cheap and Nasty, the overuse of bright colours and 'Brushes' cause this random and pointless piece of work.
