Responsive / Ko/Za Law Group LLP, 'DesignCrowd'

Due to the fact that this brief was for a Lawyer Firm, there was a strong chance to develop a whole branding identity. I investigated using my previous blogposts throughout the year, to hone in on different branding & identities visualising how they were created.

In terms of deliverables it seems that a set formed from;

Letterheads
Business cards
Notepads
Folders &
Envelopes

definitely fulfilled the utensils a Lawyer firm would need, with the additional idea of generating web interfaces, displaying how the information would change across digital platforms.

I think three colours would be the most I could incorporate into a palette unless the colour is the main driving force behind my branding, like the example below.

Who said lawyer branding had to be boring?

The following branding is very striking in its appearance but lacks a direct communication? Has the mountain been used for symbolic purposes (such as; Saxum will help you to the top) or is it a direct reference to a site where the lawyers are located. Regardless it is a piece of branding that sticks out among the rest, simply based on its appearance.

Imagery related to the briefs specific mandatory requirements;

The logo must permeate one of the following;
Forward-thinking
Problem solving
Reliability

I came across this logo design while looking over a designer on 'DesignCrowd'. He had been ranked very well and was earning multiple figures off the website alone. In terms of positioning for the title, I think it would look more serious and professional as a whole. Rather than the design being on top, or below the text, which subconsciously makes you pay more attention to one rather than the other. A design layout like the one you can see below makes you absorb the whole identity as one, rather than piece by piece.
After my research into reliability and forward-thinking, it became apparent that a signification to rope would answer multiple options of the requirements.

A rope withstands huge masses of tension, working together to take the strain - Reliability

When you tie a rope into a knot you require forward-thinking to complete the process

Un-tieing a ropes knot requires problem solving abilities.

The way the rope curves on the bowel of the 'A' would look quite striking if it was morphed into a specific shape that would represent the law firm. Could use this idea as a potential starting point for designing?...
